Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide present in the connective tissue of the dermis, the synovial fluid of the joints and the vitreous humor of the eye. It is therefore a molecule naturally present in our body.
This natural component of our skin acts like a molecular sponge by capturing and holding water, hence its excellent capacity to hydrate, protect and repair the elasticity of the skin of the face, neck, neckline or hands.
As the years go by, the hyaluronic acid contained in the dermis decreases, the skin becomes thinner and more fragile, the facial features sag and wrinkles appear. The combination of different injection techniqueswith hyaluronic acid allows a subtle and natural rejuvenation of the face, neckline and hands.
These injections correct wrinkles, fill hollows, restore volume, redefine contours and hydrate the skin. The skin of the treated areas appears more toned, plumped and rejuvenated.

The treatment
The hyaluronic acid injected by Doctor Cyrille DEVOIR is of non-animal origin, biodegradable and resorbable by natural hyaluronidases. It therefore has a temporary effect, from 6 to 18 months on average.
There are variations in duration, related to the condition of the skin, the area of the face treated, the quantity of product injected and the patient's lifestyle (exposure, smoking).
This treatment, injected by needles or cannulas, is virtually painless thanks to the local anesthetic contained in the syringes. The session lasts from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the areas to be treated. At the end of the treatment, the result is visible and very natural.
The injection of hyaluronic acid can be associated with the injection of botulinum toxin.
Post-treatment recommendations
Benign side effects during the days following hyaluronic acid injections are frequent: redness, swelling, bruising, hematoma, skin sensitivity or pain, itching, may appear in the treated areas, especially for the lips.
These inconveniences are mostly temporary for a few days, and disappear spontaneously.
This treatment does not require a work stoppage and patients can resume their activities immediately. No social eviction is required.
However, it is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, temperatures below 0°C, and the practice of sauna or hammam for 15 days.
It is also important to avoid rubbing, massaging or applying makeup to the treatment areas for 48 hours, and to avoid any situation that could lead to a skin infection on the injected area.
Undesirable side effects
Infection, although rare, is possible in the days following or at a distance from the injection.
Herpes outbreaks may also be encouraged by the injections in patients who are carriers of the virus. Depending on the case, a specific preventive treatment may be proposed to avoid it.
Rare reactions, of allergic or infectious origin, are possible, with the formation of indurations or localized abscesses being able to occur after several weeks or months, being able to last until the complete elimination of the hyaluronic acid and must be announced to the doctor. A specific treatment during several months or the realization of examinations can be necessary.
Cases of necrosis (tissue destruction) and blindness (loss of vision) secondary to accidental injection of hyaluronic acid into vessels have been reported, as have injuries to certain nerve roots (sensitivity or motor disorders).
Contraindications
Medical contraindications exist, notably certain allergic conditions, autoimmune diseases, taking anticoagulant medication, the presence of non-resorbable products in the injection areas, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
