This non-surgical technique for rejuvenating the face and neck is performed at Dr. Devoir's medical office under local anesthesia and in strict aseptic conditions. The material used consists of notched polylactic acid and caprolactone sutures, biocompatible with the human body, which are completely resorbed in about 24 months.
The tensor threads are inserted under the skin and cling to the tissues to create support in sagging areas (cheeks, lower cheeks and neck). They limit skin sagging, reposition volumes, delay wrinkles and improve the skin's structure through the Biostimulation effect.
The tensor sutures are introduced by micro-cannulas or needles through a hole of 2 to 3 millimeters in diameter.
The effect of notched tensor threads can be optimized and completed by combining this treatment with other aesthetic medicine techniques such as botulinum toxin and/or hyaluronic acid injections.
The result is immediately visible. An optimal result is visible after two months.
A new placement of notched tensor threads can be performed one year later to optimize the treatment.
Edema of the treated areas, transitory folds (8 to 10 days), transitory asymmetry, ecchymosis.
Inform Dr. Devoir of your medication treatments (NSAIDs, aspirin, cortisone, anticoagulants, antibiotics, tranquilizers, etc.).
Stop taking any medication containing acetylsalicylic acid the two weeks before the procedure (aspirin, Alka Seltzer, Bufferin, etc.). It is also important to wash your hair well before the treatment.
The placement of notched tensor sutures does not usually require time off work and the patient can resume work the next day.
Nevertheless, strict hygiene must be observed, particularly at the entry and exit points of the notched tensor threads.
Do not touch, apply makeup, rub the affected areas, apply cosmetics, or apply facial stress or pressure and sleep on your back in an elevated position for the first 72 hours.
Sports should be interrupted for two to three weeks, intense efforts for six weeks, as well as wearing a motorcycle helmet.
Avoid exposure to the sun, strong heat (UV, Sauna, Hammam) during at least one month.
In case of pain, paracetamol can be taken.
