Aesthetic mesotherapy consists of superficial injections into the epidermis and dermis of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid combined with a cocktail of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals.
This aesthetic treatment revitalizes the skin by playing a nutritive, anti-oxidant and moisturizing role. It brings a glow to the skin that can be sought on a one-time basis or maintained by repeating the procedure.
This treatment also helps prevent and treat aging by delaying the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
The frequency of treatments varies according to the condition of the skin and the desired effect. The interval between sessions can be from twenty to thirty days at the beginning of the treatment or several months for maintenance.
Aesthetic mesotherapy can be associated with an AHA peel, in order to potentiate the results of both techniques.
The treatment consists of multiple injections of hyaluronic acid and vitamins over the entire face (respecting the eyelids).
The average session lasts about 30 minutes.
Papules caused by each injection point of the hyaluronic acid gel are visible for 24 hours.
The pain associated with the injections is generally very well tolerated, or even non-existent, as the injections are made with extremely fine needles, but depends on the sensitivity of each individual.
The aftermath is marked by the presence of hyaluronic acid papules during the first 24 hours.
Apart from skin allergy, which is unpredictable with the injected products or the post-care cream, the potential side effects are slight bruising and possibly pummeling of the deepest injections for a few days.
An infection is theoretically possible.
This procedure does not usually require time off work. Bruises or hyaluronic acid papules may disrupt social life for a period of one to a few days.
As after any injection, it is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, temperatures below 0°C, sauna or hammam for 15 days.
