PELLING WITH TRICHLORACETIC ACID

Younger, more toned skin and a more even complexion.

Peels with 15% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) find their indications in the treatment of skin aging, dyschromia (spots), fine lines, keratoses, dull complexions, smokers' skin.

Their purpose is to provoke with an acid solution a desquamation (peeling) of the superficial layers of the skin (epidermis), and a stimulation of its deeper layers (dermis).

CUSTOMIZED

A treatment adapted to your skin and its specificities

The result is younger-looking, more toned skin with improved elasticity and a more even tone, with discreet smoothing of fine lines.

They can be applied to all parts of the body (face, neck, décolleté, hands in particular). It is a treatment sequential taking place in several sessions. A treatment cycle generally includes 4 peeling sessions, but this number can be adapted to your case.

The interval between each session depends on the area treated (7 to 15 days). Depending on the indications or the importance of the aging to be treated, the treatment cycles can be repeated after 6 weeks to complete the result.

The treatment

A session consists of three steps: cleaning and preparation of the skin, application of the acid solution to a level of depth controlled by the doctor, and then application of a post-peel cream that must be kept on until the next morning to avoid complications secondary to the inflammation caused by the peel.

The session is short, lasting a few minutes, without immobilization and without social eviction. The application of the acid is unpleasant or slightly painful, heating the skin strongly for a few seconds but without requiring anesthesia. Ventilation and cooling of the skin control the pain level.

BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT

Additional Information

Immediate Suites

The after-effects are simple, marked by a more or less important peeling according to the level of depth of the peeling, going from simple peeling to the desquamation of a strong sunburn. As soon as the peeling begins, the skin must be moisturized very regularly (creams).

The spots on the skin darken during the first few days. Certain very localized areas where the treatment has been more intense may produce scabs that must be respected. After their fall, a pink state of the skin can last several weeks.

A daily cosmetic prescribed by the doctor is started the next day until the end of the six weeks following the last session. You can go back to your usual activities right after the session.

Undesirable Side Effects

Possible side effects are burns (accidental too deep localized action) and their consequences (infections, skin discoloration, brown spots).

Recommandations

Avoiding the sun (no exposure, sunscreen creams) is mandatory during the entire protocol in order to perfect the result and avoid complications (pigmentary rebound, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation), which are almost non-existent if the protocol is well respected.

UV in cabins is forbidden. These instructions are to be respected until at least 6 weeks after the end of any peeling or inflammatory skin condition.

Contraindications

Contraindications include herpes outbreaks, infections, excoriations or other inflammatory skin lesions (recent scars), photosensitizing drugs, tanning inducers and treatment with ISOTRETINOIN in progress or less than 6 months old.

The medications and cosmetics usually used should be specified to the doctor. This procedure does not usually require time off work.

Excellent doctor doesn't push for consumption and gives an objective and honest opinion even if it is not necessarily in the patient's direction. I recommend him 100%. Thanks to him.
